Beautiful Beirut

I had every intention of visiting Beirut, Lebanon one of these days. A friend of mine from grad school, who is also Editor-in-Chief of TimeOut Beirut, an ex-journalist for the Daily Star Newspaper, and the author of A Hedonist's Guide to Beirut lives there and writes and Djs and was willing to show me the "scene". He fucking loved Beirut. Right now, he is still there, listening to the bombs fall and witnessing the atrocities. I briefly spoke to him about the situation and he told me that he will not give in to Israeli terror. Which means that he won't leave Lebanon. I am a little afraid, but he and I will continue to talk via Instant Messenger....unless something happens.

Anyway, he started a Blog- an insider's perspective on the escalating madness in the Middle East.
